That sounds intense @Bow! It's totally understandable anger has come to develop that scary and negative connotation for you, and something that feels a bit too confronting and unsafe to go near. I'm not sure if some of Sasha's answers earlier in the chat might help give you a few other tools to help you navigate anger when it might come up 😊

@Bow I appreciate your sincerity and vulnerability! Thank you for sharing!
Anger is indeed a scary emotion. However, you can learn to practise safe expressions of it and channeling it into something productive and beautiful! We have covered a few healthy strategies here earlier in the evening - have a look when you can. Take care! 🌻

Thanks @SunnyFlower @amber22 @TideisTurning for tonight
My early to teen years involved my dad always being angry.
my escape areas for short periods of time was nearby park, school ground or the bay. Gave me some time away from ‘heated house’

Thank you for coming along! You can always read back on the conversation as a resource as well anytime you need @Patches59
I get that, having a safe space is good, especially if things were heated at home at times. I'm glad you were able to go somewhere for a bit to get away from it. Sometimes that is really what you need, to remove yourself from it.
