Re: Self care by growing a garden

I've just been watching Videos - on how to harvest & treat Carob Pods, to eat @Former-Member @Smc @Shaz51 @Anastasia @Determined

My Carob tree is now about 16 years old - it's taken that long to get up to about 6m high.

I've never noticed Bean Pods on it before.

Now there are about 10 to 15 Pods, bright green (about 7cm long).

It's the Pod itself (soft thick juicy shell) that is eaten - not the seeds, they're rock-hard & can break your teeth.

Carob Pods have protein, sugar, lots of B vitamins, high in Calcium, Zinc, & lots of other good stuff.

Unfortunately my Pods are about 5 or 6m high in the air, which makes them rather hard to get to.

Hello @Adge carob sounds lovely...what's the plan to get to them?

Re: Self care by growing a garden

No plan as yet @Anastasia 16 years is a very long time to wait for any 1st Pods or fruit.

So just excitement - Wow Pods....
