I guess after understanding the science of our brains a little more, it makes me feel that what I'm experiencing is 'normal'. At least that's comforting lol @Hyperballad
Hey @dehaha - hope you are well

Thanks for sharing that information @tyme! Thank makes so much sense and explains a lot, it is really fascinating how primal our brains actually are.
How did you go @Hyperballad, did you get to have the weekend you hoped for?

I had a more relaxing weekend than the one earlier. I actually got through some Ice Age movies for the first time - much needed wholesome stuff. One thing I need to work on atm is the shift with vaping laws, Unfortunately it was a habit I picked up, driven a lot by anxiety, and with the new restrictions I have to think about ways to get off it

@Hyperballad that sounds awesome, I love the Ice Age movies! You've just inspired me to give them a rewatch soon, I will have to try to get my kids to appreciate them too lol.
I am right there with you with the trying to quit vaping! I used vaping to quit cigarette smoking... 3 years ago 😬. Replaced one bad habit for another. It's well and truly time for me and these new laws are making the decision easier for sure. I'm thinking of trying one of those breathing necklaces, have you seen those?

Yes i gave up smoking many yeas ago. Socialising in he months before covid brought it brefily. back into my life socially, then covid and i took it up during the first lock down briefly and then switched to vaping. So I guess I just need to go though that again. The breathing necklaces looks like a good physical replacement

Thank you for asking @tyme. I'm going ok. Things have been very busy at work again and I have been made a job offer to something similar but less excessive work/life issues. It will be a big decision butt I will focus on what is right for me. I bring my own MH to the ttable but with this job I've been to ED twice this year so far.
I had a good session with my therapist this evening though - just winding down from an overactivated state that can sometimes feel like it's the norm. So, when I am at home and not working I work towards cultivating a peaceful sanctuary as best I can 🙂
How are you?

That's huge in that you are ready to focus on yourself. You deserve it @Hyperballad . I remember people saying, 'If you don't look after yourself, no one will. Work will always be there".
In a way, this is so true.
We'll continue to look out for you and hope things get better for you.

Hello @tyme, I don't see much of you now that I'm on here on monday nights instead 🤗 Miss you!
@Hyperballad what are you thinking about the new job offer? That is really exciting, I mean just to have options even if you don't go with it, that must feel good. I'm sure whatever you do will be the right thing for you 💜
