In my 20s I fell in love with the Indonesian concept of jam karet: rubber time.

It was a standard Indonesian risposte to boats not arriving on time ... eg it had capsized or it had to be fixed etc...
not very Mussolini of them
but I just loved it as I wasnt usually in a hurry to get anywhere.
