Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Jynx thaqnks for thread, i relate to that in what it is and it is a lot like fear of flight response being activated in a public busy place and unfamiliar surroundings ending in trouble.

its percieved because its no guarentee i trigger yet ththe trouble i can get in very quickly if i did is actually very real

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@REDLINEZ750 Red, you have done nothing wrong! You are great 👍🏼 You didn’t offend me. In fact it is almost impossible to offend me.

No I was genuinely wondering why I have such a quick “off” button with people.

I have ADHD and I don’t have the ability, patience, energy or desire to indulge people in a one sided conversation.

@REDLINEZ750 you are awesome. Keep being yourself.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Glisten ha ha "as interesting as cold sore cream and I don't have herpies!"

TOOL? Now you've got me curious and this post wasn't even intended for me.

As a Christian, I must find this woman and tell her that she is to keep her beliefs to herself. If anyone is going to proselytise my dear Tomaatti I will Bible bash them until they wished they'd kept their yap shut.

My great uncle had a woman come to visit him one time. My mum and her sister were worried she was after his money (he and his bachelor brother shared a house in an upmarket part of South Perth with foreshore views, of which part was named after them. Most of the houses when they go on the market are sold for 2 million or more, Miss Maud used to have her house Three Flags a few houses up from them. She had a huge Viking head sculpture in the front yard..but as usual I digress.
Anyway, this woman would come and read to my uncle who was blind.
Mum and her sister tried to find out more about her but this was before the intorwebs so they didn't find out much.

My uncle wasn't dumb but mum and sis were still concerned so they gently suggested he be careful.

One day mum went over to visit and asked after her.

Uncle said he had told her to leave and not come back. Mum "Did she want your money?"
Uncle - "No she wanted to convert me to God. Told her to get out."

Mum and her sister laughed for days about it.

Are you still going to dog sit?

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Glisten I hope Monday is good to you.

I applied for a job working in a native plant nursery last week and haven't heard back. It was part time and good pay, plus I would have loved the job and I know one of the volunteers.

Monday I will be doing the Seek thing and pray I find something before I have to re-engage with the job services provider.

I have been craving a bacon and egg wrap all afternoon since you mentioned it. I don't have any eggs but I have the BBQ sauce.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

yayy @Glisten  😁

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@ENKELI her family is Armenian Apostolic Church. I’m not normally weirded out by anything.

You know I genuinely admire people with faith. It’s really brave.

She said that she prays and sends good energy to anyone and she doesn’t have to tell them or ask their permission.

I said. “So literally sending good vibes.”

I think, it was the thought of someone thinking 🤔 ‘I’m going to send you good vibes whether you like it or not.’ Hahaha  and then I thought about it too much and it creeped me out. Hahaha

Of course I look after the black Labrador. I’m going to run that dog’s little pudding off and do a lot of lead training.

My Retiisi, I hope you get that job, it sounds so cool. I think it would be a nice job.

Your family is hilarious! You need to write these stories down and the stories about your pets - so much laughter that it brings tears.

TOOL is a band. Everyone raves about the lead singer Maynard, but it’s the drummer Danny Carey - he’s the architect.
For example their song Lateralus literally runs on the mathematical Fibonacci sequence, so instead of a normal 4/4, the timing goes 9-8-7. That’s why you can’t count it straight.

7empest one of their longest and most complex tracks.

Multiple alternating time signatures 7/8, 11/8, 12/8 with irregular phrase lengths.

Sections feel like they’re about to fall apart, but then snap back into alignment.

That’s the end of my music rant 😇

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Glisten do you know, I actually wondered if you meant the band.

I love your music facts, I am going to listen to some TOOL now because you have me intrigued.

As a friend and bass player once said to me, some instruments are easy to learn, but very hard to master. It sounds like the drummer of TOOL is in the latter category.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@ENKELI  I hope you started your day with Biblical readings.

I swear the difference is in you shows❣️

Your friendly Bass player is 💯 % correct and incidentally my granddaughter plays Bass and guitar 🎸

Musical family and all I know is theory :face_with_rolling_eyes: Grrr Argg

How did you go with the TOOLness? I won’t be offended if it isn’t your cup of tea.

If you do like it, I’ll smuggle you a concert ticket 🕵️
