Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Former-Member  Some how I missed your post.

Oh your experience is wayyyy worse than mine. Not that it is a competition.

Whom ever the family court judge was, for your settlement, had no concept of justice.

Back injuries are horrific. Anyone who says people fake back injuries, have never had one.

I have landed on my feet, to a certain extent. But I have never been out of work this long in 23 years. Doesn’t fill me with confidence.

@scruffypuffball Dr GPD is good, isn’t he.

He frequently nails it.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

Hey there @Glisten 🌺🤗

It’s ok - lots of posts here, and it’s very easy to miss any one of them 🙂

I didn’t make it to family court, so I was corralled into a situation purely based on vulnerability and inabilities based on significant lack of health and financial resources at the time.
I was also still fighting three cases in district court for my rights to be upheld after being hit and run some years before (those cases went on for 14 years before I finally won my freedom and was no longer being blamed for what happened to me). There are some societal loads that are beyond the limits of what an injured and traumatised person can cope with, and the divorce case was simply beyond anything humanly possible that I could engage with at the time. However, it doesn’t matter what it is, but I’m sure many of us (if not all?) here know what that all-encompassing, utter overwhelm combined with no way out no matter what you do feeling feels like, and sometimes personal/physical and emotional damage mitigation is the only option - not necessarily seeking justice, particularly when unable to access various ‘supports’ in society as and when they are so desperately needed.

Having said that, the important point is this…
The threads that stitch us so harmoniously together is our deep knowledge of traumatic experiences, and our wisdom in moving through and knowing our battles, and how that builds an entirely new facet to our existence: we have all a fully developed sense of compassion and empathy - even if that empathy hurts.
That’s what I treasure, love, and respect immensely about people who survive trauma, and I see it every single day amongst the forums here being shared throughout. That’s what I read in your messages Glisten  💜🙂🌺

And I also meant to say that I’m really sorry it’s been a long time without work @Glisten  - it’s more than just the finance, it’s also how that can influence confidence, I find. I’m also not in paid employment at this time, which seems weird after a lifetime of work.
I really hope things change for the better for you work-wise 🤗🌺

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Former-Member  An hour ago I shattered a person’s concept of how people with trauma are treated. Saying that I have experienced different levels of abuse from being targeted by at least 7 people during my life.

Traumatised people are easy prey for perpetrators of abuse.

You had it hard, really hard. You did it tough.

I strongly admire your courage to push through. Unbelievable tenacity.

I’m kind of like someone’s lost pedigree cat, looking for a home.  It’s amazing how many people don’t like cats.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

Free roaming cats, able to pursue their own freedom inside, despite being very misunderstood 💜🌺🙂 @Glisten 🤗

I tend to think the home for lost cats without a home or love is places like here..🙂💜

I’m really sorry you’ve been targeted by at least 7 people looking for someone to take advantage of, however speaking that truth is how we all get change and I admire you for being brave to do that 🤗🌺

I have experienced people thinking it’s ok to take advantage of me simply because others have, when I have been honest about my vulnerability and previous experiences. This kind of predatory behaviour is a thing that we actively need to take steps to address in society, imho 🌺

thank you kindly..I really humbly appreciate that 🙂🫂🌺

I hope your weekend goes well and you’re feeling good 🙂🌺
