think get so many free stamps a year on pension @SmilingGecko  ? little known concession have vaguely heard of

With a free Australia Post Concession account, you'll pay just 60c per stamp, instead of $1.20. You can buy up to 50 stamps per year, in booklets of 5 for $3.

You'll even get a free booklet of 5 concession stamps to get you started

Yeah I bought stamps last year @TAB still need some more - will go back once I've been paid my pension. You go to Auspost and they get you to fill out a form to apply and then you get issued with a card in the mail.  Its a plastic card with your ID on it. You take it into Auspost every time you need to buy stamps. I never heard of it to begin with but thought it was a good idea to apply. Its saved me some money

went into lounge room,put heater on and johhny farnham special came on. @SmilingGecko  anyway. had enough. 

um yeah guess if collected them could come in very handy, sometimes Iwant to post parcels etc or do priority paid etc , I downloaded form, will take it in soon. thanks for reminding me.

I don't know if the stamps cover parcels or priority paid @TAB - just standard letters is what I think its for. I have around 40 stamps now.  But its good if you can't get out to post office and just want convenience to post a letter.

Think stamps good for anything @SmilingGecko  just a way of showing you paid. Not so sure they werent used as currency (?) Well in post offices anyway

I sold some henna on ebay and posted it using a few concession stamps. It got there but read later on Auspost website it was only meant for standard postal letters. My guess is they did not check it was concession stamps.  Maybe look into it @TAB. But its good getting concession on stamps

ohh ok I'm thinking early 70s when it was stamps or nothing eg $2, $4 stamps and blocks of them sometimes.  @SmilingGecko

ok concession stamps treated differently ... can use 'normal' stamps on anything.. can ask for tracking number stickers to use with stamps as well.

. anyway .. all adds up, my neice joined RAAF and found out could get DVA pharmaceutical allowance, and veterans also eligible . so now I get $6.50 a fortnight from them lol,but was back paid when first got it, was literally hundreds lol

do you use bottle gas ?? found near half price gas on bargain sites.... got to BBQs galore and get refill 9kg for $19, I pay $34 here, and 45kg cylinder delivered is equiv of $40/9kg ...
