Night Shift

Re: Night Shift

@Faith-and-Hope - hahaha... I love your ticks and crosses. I reckon you're a list writer. That would be my pick.

It's the only way to stay even slightly organised within the chaos of the family shenanigans...

Huge hugs and best of luck with it... 🙂

Re: Night Shift

Hi @plasmo @Silenus

Good to see you guys being proactive about it 😊

Is there someone you can call to walk you through it ?  I think most TAFE campuses have a go-to person, like a careers advisor or counsellor.

Hahaha... Proactive used to be my middle name...

Then I changed it to Inactive, then eventually to Interactive...

Giggle...

Re: Night Shift

Oh, and yoohoooo ! Hi @eth 🙂

Re: Night Shift

Thankyou @Faith-and-Hope. Yes it's been a week now of lemon honey and ginger drinks.  Beautiful picture.  I'm also taking a lot of echinacaea,garlic, zinc and vitamin C capsules, a compound from the chemist, throat lozenges and the Dr even put me on a puffer ... but I don't seem to be getting any better yet.  And on top of all of that I'm adjusting to a new dose of one of my bipolar meds.  Ah well - we all have our challenging times don't we.  I think I must have become a lot more run down than I recognized the week before.

Hi @Silenus too.

Hope you're both having better days.

Proactive used to be my middle name too ... and independent, then interdependent ... then as an old lady I realise more of my dependencies .... giggle wriggle.Woman LOL

Hi @eth sometimes it helps to top up with supplements .. sometimes we just need to hit the sack more ...Heart

sleep data is coming in more recently than I expected .. I had thought a lot of issues under current study would have been known for a while ... but we live in a wonderful age.Woman Happy

But on a more serious note .. I think I am going to be going through a period of unwinding and unravelling .. and probably not posting as much on the forum ... as I will be focussing on Royal Commission issues in my life ... which are staggering ... also today for the first time it has been suggested that I put in a personal claim to the commission in addition to the family claim ... so I am going to be very busy ... but a big thank you to all who have

* heard me

* emailed me

* read and responded to me on the site

* supported me

* or made me laugh and cheered me up.

Heart

I reiterate that my recent statement about running out of patience about the stigma that I have personally endured in my life .. is probably a polite understatement.. sorry if some think it was resentment or jealousy or bitterness or ingratitude ... etc ... but I have tried to be helpful to others and cheerful and courageous in the face of my own issues.

I am not going to tune into Friday night Feast tonight .. I need to curlu up and heal and do music and cook and look after my cats who have been brutally attacked this week.  Went to the vet yesterday and have a lot of doctoring to do to them this cooming week. I hope you all have a good time .. i still remember my first Friday Feast and it was meaningful to me.

I will try and pop into them in the future.

regards Apple

Re: Night Shift

Take care @Appleblossom.  I'll be thinking of you.  Hope your cats recover well.

And I have to say I do my best to sleep more but can only spend so much time in bed feeling frustrated.  I hit the sack something like 5 times a night in recent weeks.  Our conversations on here through the night have been really helping me order my thoughts and relax enough to go back to bed most of the time.

Best wishes for you throughout the Royal Commission process.   You are so brave and wise.
