Re: Night Shift

That's such great news @Kurra😊💜

Re: Night Shift

Thanks @Decadian and @Former-Member
Now I need to get a card and small gift. I ordered a special brief case some weeks ago on the Internet. It's being made now so I've got to wait until it arrives so I can send it to her.

Re: Night Shift

@Faith-and-Hope
It's crazy but I just can't stop crying.
Hoping your world starts to settle down a bit soon. Thinking of you xxx

Re: Night Shift

I'm sure it will @Kurra, thank you ❤️

Enjoy your new happiness !!

You never gave up on your daughter and now she has returned to you this way.

You shared your struggles, and now we get to share your joy ❣

😍 Big hugs !!

Re: Night Shift

oh - whoops Kurra

It's been a while since I had a birthday cake - never mind - one sign of getting older is having partial dentures and cake sets like cement under them

But 75 candles - what a disaster if the cake collapsed under the weight of the candles.

But I know - have a virtual cake - make it big and add all 75 candles - nothing is impossible when it comes to the virtual world

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Kurra

That briefcase sounds really great - I can tell you - one birthday out of the blue my parents gave me a briefcase for my birthday - and although time has passed and it is battered - it shows it was well-used

I still have it - and I keep copies of important documents there - the originals being at the bank -

I think that is an excellent gift - from a person who received such a gift myself

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Decadian, just woke recently and thought I'd say hi, since you seem to be awake too.

Hi @bleu, welcome to the forum. Just 'tagging' you here at 'Night Shift' discussion thread in case you'd like to join us here, as @Faith-and-Hope suggested.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope and anyone else who is awake. What's happening with you in this middle of the night?

I just woke up after a few hours sleep. My psychologist told me today that I should try to avoid coming on the computer when I wake up in the night like this. This is a tough order for me but I may try it in coming days/weeks. For now, I find it too hard to resist and better than being alone and unable to sleep at this hour.

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Mazarita

I have had an "in the washing machine" kind of day again today, and my mind is still busy with the rest of the household asleep.  I would probably be a bit more disciplined about turning off the iPad, but it is the weekend now, and I am relieved at being a bit more off-duty for a couple of days.

So thrilled for @Kurra !!

🌷

Re: Night Shift

I understand @Mazarita

I am tired of the Sleep Police - I would much rather be up and doing something interesting at this hour -

So I can get up at about 8.30am and resist a nap but bingo!! We have to sit down to have dinner and I live alone so I am watching M*A*S*H or The Project and often go to sleep - maybe for a few minutes maybe for a couple of hours

Then I find it hard to sleep at night

And tonight I am thinking too much and I think the Thought Police go hand-in-hand with the Sleep Police

But it is my solemn and enduring belief that it is better to get up and do anything at this hour that toss around annoying the cat because I am so restless - she does let me know - it's annoying

But whatever we are doing tonight @Mazarita - at least we know that there are other people around in this city - or whatever city - who are out then wondering if the blue light from the computer is disurbing us - but frankly - if we have a sleeping pattern that is way off at times - we have company
