Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

@Spirit_Healer oh niiiice I love that feeling when you notice getting stronger in your body!! I've missed a few workouts recently and BOY is it noticable how quickly I slip backwards!! Consistency is key, eh?

Hope you're having a chillaxing Monday 😊

Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

Good evening @Jynx @Dreamy ,

I'm suffering this evening. With heavy period and pain associated with suspected Endometriosis.

Also feeling sombre because there was a double-fatality this morning on the main road, just a few hundred metres around the corner from my unit. There was a lot of traffic and partial road closures this morning when I drove out, but I didn't know why until this evening.

Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

Evening @Spirit_Healer

That sounds really uncomfortable, hopefully you can some relief from it soon.

Oh that's really rough and so sad. Sending you hugs, we are here for you ❤️

Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

@Spirit_Healer oh hun, that's a tough day. Hot water bottle help at all? Friend of mine has endo, really feel for anyone who gets that kinda pain!! And that news too, very heavy. Hope you are being gentle with your wonderful self tonight 🫂🫂

Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

Hello @Jynx @Dreamy @tyme @Till23 @Shaz51 @Oaktree @Ru-bee @Healandlove @Glisten @creative_writer !

I made it to the end of my fourth week back at work. I survived this month's PMDD and then endo pain, too. I'm feeling both relief for the weekend and a little soothing muscle soreness from my aerobics class yesterday evening.

My knee went a little funny with all the jumping, lunges and squats. If it goes away, then I'm going dancing tomorrow night. I hope my ex doesn't turn up - if he does, I haven't yet decided whether it not I'll dance with him or not. He wanted to stay friends when we last talked, and I told him he treated me so badly, I don't know if we can be friends. This was the only conversation we had since he ghosted me for 7.5 weeks and then broke up with me over text message, with the help of AI. And then when I turned up to our go-to dance event with my long-time (platonic) male friend, my ex asked my friend many questions about how we knew each other, how long we'd known each other, etc.

I'm asking this friend for a lift tomorrow. I feel safer with him around. He's been really supportive during our chats in the car.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

Thanks for the update. @Spirit_Healer

It sounds like you are keeping well with everything you are doing.

I'm sorry to hear you get endo pain on top of everything else!

How did dancing go? You ended up going, right?

Also, all the best for work this week!

Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

Hello @tyme @Shaz51 @rav3n @Jynx @Dreamy !

In the end, I decided not to go to dancing, again, because I was so tired from the working week. I napped before and after lunch on Saturday. And as the time for dancing rolled around, I was already feeling ready to go to bed.

I'm finding work really exhausting, even though I'm only working half-days.

The gradual decrease in my sedating medication still seems to be noticeable. It takes me longer to fall asleep. I will need to retrain myself to go to sleep more naturally. And I'm also noticing a decrease in craving extra snacks on top of my usual amount of food at main meals. Increased appetite is a known side effect of this medication.

This morning, I bumped into another colleague for the first time since my return. We had a short chat. She said I looked well. Sometimes, when people say that to me, my thought is 'it's probably my makeup'. It's probably true though. I've been working on myself for the past 6 months, so I'd like to think that some good has come to my health as a result!

Re: Send 'smooth-sailing' sentiments to Spirit_Healer!

Aww love when it gets noticed that we've put effort in hey @Spirit_Healer!! I reckon you look well cos you're doing well!!

I had someone compliment my biceps recently and I was all warm n fuzzy, cos pushups are HARD!!

Warms me to hear this, ty for sharing 💜
