I woke up at 3am last night and felt the uncanny urge to start a hacks thread... like using a straw cleaner to clean your drain and leaving bicarb in your car door to eliminate odors...

I also know a lot of random facts... like the Eiffel Tower is painted every 7 years...

I have the 2025 life hacks calendar... been getting the life hacks one for over 5 years now...

@tyme a section for carers / partners would be good, especially as often people who haven't experienced what we have can have difficulty understanding what we are going through. especially as often we can't put our feelings into words.

Great @Sparky79 ! I agree wholeheartedly that we can't forget or dismiss carers.

@avant-garde - I like that idea! Hacks and facts go to you and whoever else is interested. Of course you can still work on adovcacy too. I think adovcacy is important. It's also good to know what's available nationwide as opposed to just the state we live in.

We will also need a section on pets I reckon @Till23 @Ainjoule @Bunniekins

@Shaz51 did you know there is still a use for your old toothbrush? They're great for cleaning in the grooves of screw top items.

Speaking of screw top items, putting some cling wrap over the top of the jar with liquid then screwing the lid on will prevent the liquid spilling out while travelling. 

The one I learned on Friday I think was if you have a half filled paint can, put the lid on and slowly turn it upside down, it will create a thin seal around the lid to prevent the paint going dry.
