Social chat tonight here

Re: Social chat tonight here

@creative_writer awhh migraines are horrible, rest sounds good - hope it goes away soon!! 💗

i'm feeling better, thank you! i managed to get more sleep which is big win 😊

Re: Social chat tonight here

@rav3n migraines are tough, I had things I needed to do, but I will have to move it to tomorrow.

More sleep is a big win. Lack of sleep affects us so much. What have you been up to today?

Re: Social chat tonight here

@creative_writer very fair, what does resting look like for you?

yesss it does! i'm soooo much more irritable when i'm tired. today i had an electrolysis session and that's it, didn't do much else but will probably go gym later tonight. what's on your to-do list for tomorrow/when the migraine goes down?

Re: Social chat tonight here

@rav3n resting means I don’t do job related stuff (I’m looking for a job) or training and I take it easy in bed. Do my regular self care activities.

I have job stuff to do. Along with Lifeline training if I’m up for it. It can be hard doing the training when I’m not mentally there.

I hope you are able to soothe your skin after the session. Gym sounds good, what kind of gym activities do you like?

Re: Social chat tonight here

Hi what time for chat tonight

Re: Social chat tonight here

I am that bad that I have been knocked back for couples counselling LOL.

I live in country NSW and we don't have much here.

Private shrinks a 2 month wait.

I am just waiting, I have already tried suicide as x3 family members committed suicide.

I have been in a relationship for 28yrs but in November was told they only had sex with me to make me happy.

What a lie to be living, she is Asexual Lesbian  and even when I have tried I feel so guilty and sad for making her do something I know she doesn't want to do at all.

Re: Social chat tonight here

Hello @Hexa911, thank you so much for your contribution, and we are so glad that we can be here for you. It truly sounds like life has been immensely overwhelming for you as of late... I am so sorry to hear that things in your marriage have felt very painful and confusing. I can only imagine how distressing it must be to have to wait for professional support right now - everything you are going through sounds extremely nuanced and vulnerable. So it makes sense that you would need a safe person to turn to. Have you been able to connect with anyone in your life to talk about what is going on for you at all?

I am aware you have mentioned suicide as well, so please have a look at the threads here: Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm - SANE Forums. (You may like to contribute your own as well for further support.) I hope these spaces are helpful for you @Hexa911

In the meantime, we would like to know if you are safe tonight, and to reassure you that if you aren't, we are always here to safety plan and support you throughout - you're not alone. 💛

Talk soon,

Aunt Glow.

Re: Social chat tonight here

@creative_writer oh yep, absolutely hear that. job stuff can be quite draining. i have heard the training content can be quite heavy too. definitely sounds like a good idea to take a break from it until you're ready.

thank you 😊 it's going smoothly so far, no flare ups so that's a good sign!

i used to do some weight lifting stuff (nothing intense, like very simple exercises) but got bored of it, so i started doing some boxing stuff... which was probably a bad idea because i was just learning from videos and i have no idea if my form is right. i want to do pilates soon, but just feel like i'm too overwhelmed to book at the moment. tonight, i'll probs just do some stretches and work on calisthenics stuff (very beginner level). have you done gym before?

Re: Social chat tonight here

@rav3n I used to be a crisis supporter but had to take a break a few years ago when my mental health went south. Job stuff also requires focus which can be hard for me on a good day, even harder on not such a good day.

I haven’t tried boxing before, but I have considered it. I’ve done Pilates, circuit with cardio and light weight lifting, Zumba, yoga (though I left with neck pain, so didn’t do it again). Do you know if your gym has classes, I do some have the option of boxing

Re: Social chat tonight here

@creative_writer oh woah that's really cool that you've done a crisis supporter role before! i can relate to taking a break/quitting a role due to feeling burnt out with my mental health, it's tough. but i'm so glad you've put yourself out there again - got my fingers crossed that this time around it will be better and that you'll be surrounded by lots of support there.

ooo that's a good variety! which one's your fav out of them? Zumba sounds fun, i really wanna try classes for that too. and how was pilates? i'm a bit nervous to try it. i actually have no idea... i think i assumed they didn't but might need to double check.
