Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

Um like wow it is really different on here, The Big Screen.!

@NikNik (ooh I like the drop down) Yes you were right the emails are being sent to my junk mail.

I have tried to retify it but I am not sure if i have.

I will wait and see and if not get some help on what to do.

Thank you for your assistance

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

@NikNik. Also curious how to stop notifications when you're not tagged specifically. Please advise. Thank you.

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

I'm just going to test whether quick replies are causing the weird internal scrollbars for each post. This post is a normal reply. Post 1 of 2.

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

Weird behaviour confirmed as far as I'm concerned.
Quick Reply seems to cause an internal scrollbar for each post.

Not a forum-breaking bug, but does seem quite odd. See scrollbar to right of this post.

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

are you using a mac @TheVorticon - i am and it gives me a few glitches like that too, particularly on quick reply. I also have trouble using the 'like' button - but its fine on the mobile platform/tablet

It doesnt stop me being able to post though, just a bit annoying to look at.

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

Nope I'm on Win7 desktop PC, using Chrome browser. Sometimes people's posts (including my own) show up with the weird scrollbar, and sometimes they don't. Based on my very limited testing it does seem to be related to whether I do a quick reply or normal reply, so I'm guessing that that's the reason I'm seeing it in general for other people.

YES about the 'like' button @Former-Member - it often seems to take up to 4 slow, deliberate clicks on PC w/ Chrome to actually register a "like". Agreed that it seems much more responsive on tablet, although I hardly ever use my tablet so can't confirm much about it.

I also keep meaning to post screenshots of what happens when I try to attach an image to a post on PC w/ Chrome, where half the text goes off the window.

Initial screen: Content is left-justified in the little window, and is cutting off content on the edge to the right.

Scenario 1 - uploading a file from my PC: same behaviour as above, overflowing edge to the right.

SCREENSHOT2.jpg

Scenario 2 - uploading an image from another website. The moment I paste in the link to the image... : Content has realigned itself to left-justify at the start of the text box... Losing anything that was to the left.

SCREENSHOT3.jpg

Wouldn't it be a pity if my link was invalid and I tried to load it, and wanted to see the error message... Since it's off on the left side of the screen and therefore not visible.

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

This is so helpful @TheVorticon
I will send this to our tech guru.

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

Hi @TheVorticon

Thank you again for all this. Those screen shots and information you provided were really helpful.

Our wonderful tech guru has been working on these today and hopefully they have been fixed.

It would be great if you could test and let us know how you go!

Nik

Re: Forum bugs, specific and general

Thanks @NikNik,

Both the quick reply scrollbar and the image upload things appear to be fixed Robot Very Happy

High fives to yourself and to the tech guru 🙂
