I think I may have found out what message is coming up with the disappearing posts. I just tried to post with a message I'd seen before which had come up in the course of typing (with a time break in the middle of the typing, not sure why but maybe auto save fails?). The message at the top of the page says "Authentication Failed. Authentication Ticket Mismatched, failed authentication." When I hit post it failed and wasn't there. I clicked the return to previous page but it took me somewhere else. When I used the back tab on my browser it took me back to the post and I was able to post it successfully that time. I have worked out in part what is going on with post timing and the digest. Have you sussed it too?

When things are posted out of forum hours but before the digest email is compiled they appear on the digest whether they have been moderated or not. I realised this when I read @kenny66 's reply to my CSA post in the digest this morning, and went to respond to it in the forum only to find it's not there yet. Timing of 10.37pm tells me it's waiting to be moderated.

So I suggest this means either:

- there is a fault with the software or settings here that allows unmoderated posts onto the digest

- the software is set up with the presumption that the digest will be compiled & sent as soon as the forum closes

Either way you have a problem. How big this is for SANE I can't say, but clearly at least some of us will receive unmoderated posts in our digest some of the time.

The daily digest we have figured out.

Up until recently, a moderator has looked over all the posts submitted from 10pm - 5pm the next day, before turning the forums into 'live mode' (5pm - 10pm). Whichever moderator that was, would turn up in the daily digest as the author.

Now we have switched things around, which means in your daily digest you should see the real author.

I made a couple of mistakes today, so there could be a couple that say I'm the author - but once we get in the swing of things, it should be pretty consistent.

With the 'authentication fail' message, it typically pops up when things have timed out or if you have a lot of windows open at the same time. If this ever pops up, I suggest copying the text you have written, just in case. Auto-save, only saves at certain intervals, so sometimes it may not save everything.

Yes it is literally in Greek (or at least in the Greek alphabet), you did more than change the font my friend! Can you not see it on-screen? It is completely unreadable after the seesaw pic. Gobbledygook would be a good description!

I checked it on another computer and it seems fine, but I think it might be a font that's not compatible with different software. Hope it works!

It looks great. I am putting it in my diary now. I am very interested. this is what I'm going to ECASA for - they speicalise in trauma recovery.

This "wrong" author problem on digests has been happening quite a bit lately (with different mods, not just you and Cherry). Let me know if you want me to email any to you.

I got no daily digest again today (from yesterday). Does anyone else ever have this problem? @Alessandra1992 @kato @peace @Rick @Loopy ? When one is missing then it is a double issue the following day (containing posts from the two previous days).

This has been going on intermittently for mionths for me. I thought it might help solve the problem if we can pin down when it happens, and hopefully why.

Can you tell me what emails you were getting? Were they the 'daily digests' or weekly etc.

When did you stop getting them?
