My Ogre Ears (Crassula) grew too big & heavy, for itself.
1m high, with a 10cm thick main stem - it collapsed (at base), & broke off.
Most of the plant (not connected to roots) is shrivelling up.
So I've planted several broken pieces, in the hope of striking new Crassula plants.
That has worked in the past....

@Adge, I collected a couple of pots from Mum's collection last time we were there that were labled "Crassula ovata "Gollum"... thinking they could be interesting.
Just looked it up online, guess what? It's the Ogre's Ears plant. 😛
Am not sure though that it's what is actually growing in the pots. The form looks all wrong, but they've been neglected for so long it's hard to be sure. Will have to wait and see.

Thanks @Former-Member
Yes that will be interesting @Smc Yes, apparently they named a Crassula Golum, after Lord of the Rings.
Supposed to be much the same as Ogre Ears, I think.
They're all the same species of Crassula (apparently) - lots of variation...

You may be right @Smc
In any case, it's Giving the Finger - which is why someone (Funny Quotes) said it's their "Spirit Plant"....
