Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

@NatureLover I feel bad about rejecting my friend. I did as much as I could for her via text.

I've had tummy trouble for nearly a week. It's a weak spot for me and can worry me when I'm stressed. I don't know what's wrong, there are several possibilities and I think it's a combination.

@NatureLover @Till23 yes I tended to keep hardware and other stuff but have slowly divested myself of a lot. Over the years I spent a fortune on therapy and transport trying to keep working but changed jobs several times and reduced hours and finally gave up and retired. My place is shabby but I get by.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I think I was lucky I could keep working until I did @Dimity. I wanted to retire about 5 years earlier, but couldn't afford it. I dropped to 3 days during my cancer treatments and when I finished working I was doing 4 days a week.

I think having your own space is the important thing at least it is for me. I wish I had some closer friends, but at least I have some people around, but living with someone would be hard for me.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well @Dimity 🥰

Hello @NatureLover , @Till23

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

@Till23 I'm the same, I need to live alone.

I'm sorry you had those 2 brief periods of homelessness when you were young 😥 I'm glad it wasn't for long.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

@Dimity Sometimes we are just not up to socialising.

Sorry to hear about your tummy troubles 😥 I hope they go away very soon 🤞

I did a lot of chores yesterday but no tidying. As soon as I had raked, more leaves fell down! Luckily the bins go out tonight.

I hope you feel a bit improved today, mentally and physically...

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi @NatureLover I can totally empathise with you about leaves. I have a couple of pandanus out the front and every time I get back from taking a bunch of leaves or fallen fruit to bin, there's another lot for me to pick up! My green bin is constantly full (there are palm trees here too dropping fronds) and it gets emptied everyweek where I am!

In my mind I'm sure I use it as an excuse for not doing other tasks I like doing less.

@Dimity I think the gut is so sensitive to stress, hope you are feeling better today and taking it easy

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi @Shaz51 I feel like I'm in tropical Queensland - it's absolutely pouring here. I got soaked on way to volunteering this morning and my bucket for my roof leak is filling fast!

I hope you are not getting too drenched where you are

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

has not rained here all day today @Till23

sorry that you got all wet , hope it is not cold where you are

hoping you are all dry and warm now

they say the rain is coming back on the weekend here

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Yes @Shaz51 we might be getting an east coast low in next couple of days!

So could be even more rain! Our worst day is suppose to be Monday atm

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

At least you can start again with empty bins @NatureLover .I'd forgotten the leaf drop from our old street tree. It was replaced several years ago..

I feel happier having worked out the causes of my tummy pain. And I faced a difficult meeting today that I'd been avoiding

Tomorrow I'll try to catch up on chores and maybe try to deal with my NBN outage. I find it very difficult to get help from my provider, and I'm tired of the NBN dropping out  I think I need new cabling and connector boxes.

@Till23 thinking of you. Your final moments with your faithful friend will be the culmination of years of compassionate care, and the vet will ease his passing  Take all the time you need to grieve, and reach out to us here if you need to.
