I think this is where we have gone wrong. The pay is enormous and I think you can have very long lunches ??

@PeppyPatti unless you are the mayor or deputy mayor you don't get much money. Councillors don't get paid per se, they are given allowances. For example the Sh*tty of Swan councillors got between  $20 000 - $47 000 for the 2022/23 financial year. The deputy mayor got $70 000 and the mayor $148 500.  Most councillors have full time jobs and do the council stuff in their own time.

In a past life I worked closely with the CoS.

So @StuF I'd amend that to when you grow up you want to be mayor!! 😂
