Gardens

Re: Gardens

That’s really sad @Dimity

another disappointment, you didn’t deserve or need. Glad you are envisioning fixing it when you are ready. Shows resilience or stoicism, if you are into that.

@Patches59 @Jynx When I saw this I thought of you

OMG YES @Dimity I love them so much 😍

Re: Gardens

I think about trying to get a groot planter but not sure.  Would want the large, head only style which are difficult to get

nice surprise this morning.  Pain management business ran.  Initial appointment booked in for mid next month.  I’m looking forward to, hoping, get info how to deal with the pain in my back and almost every finger.

Next few months whilst it’s so cold I won’t be in the garden.  Need to try to rough up idea/s on paper depending on how fingers are feeling ….. struggling to do things due to OA and chillblains, loosing interest in everything

Re: Gardens

@Patches59 I used to have a terracotta echidna with grooves for sowing grass seed on its back.

Sorry you're in pain. Sounds as though it's much worse when it's cold especially the chilblains. Staying warm overnight is so important.  I hope the pain clinic can help.

I still haven't put in my bulbs! I keep forgetting to get a potting mix delivery.

Time to plan your Spring and Summer fairy garden. Will you still have room for flowers now you've got the succulents?

Re: Gardens

I can imagine the terracotta echidna….. dual purpose 😀

due to the amount of sun that the front of my place gets I’ve decided to only plant succulents or cacti.

Garden bed under front window is about 75in x 115in.  5 kalanchoe, each with different colour flowers, the 2 mohair plus 6 little cacti take up fair amount of room.

Re: Gardens

@Patches59 Back and hand pain is tough. They are pretty essential to life. I hope you get relief soon.

I have been oriented to pain reduction for 40 years. Different Things can help. I do music as medicine. I put 3 layers on my bed today for warmth. A few years ago I had been in a real slump and hating winter. Just gotta keep moving, but I also hop in bed when I need. Fixed up the physio garden a bit today.  My physio does good work on my back and neck. We also do some exercises. I am grateful for her. We have great chats about culture, religion and spirituality and family. I had bought an Islamic prayer mat decades ago. She is Islamic and liked it. I work hard for my support.

Re: Gardens

I’ve got 2 blankets plus doona on, love the warm plus the weight.  Sucks when have to get out into the cold to deal with pain similar to sciatica.

Im hoping to get back to chair yoga, especially enjoy the stretches @Appleblossom  Miss going for walks without having to stop every few minutes.

Sounds like great arrangement with the physio
