@_tired_ @Indigo_ I hear you, it can take time to get used to the forums format. We're hoping to improve the flow of our forums soon which will hopefully make them feel a bit more intuitive to navigate, but in the meantime we can definitely address the notifications feeling overwhelming:
You can change your notification preferences in your forum profile by clicking on your profile icon at the top of the page and then hitting "Settings" > "Subscriptions and Notifications" > "Notification settings" from here you can choose how you get your notifications - you could choose not to receive them via email or you might decide that you want to receive a daily "digest" email rather than individual notifications as they happen.
