Re: Night Shift

Hi @Mazarita

Oh dear - a colonoscopy, a chronic sore throat needing investigation, trouble dreams and being asked to take more medication -

That is a lot

I always have to ask - troubled dreams tell us something but they are horrible - so something is really bothering you - so geting the colonoscopy and having your throat looked into might shed some light

It sounds pretty awesome - I will be interested to hear how it all goes - but one thing I agree with - adding more medication always bothers me - unless I already know it will help

So I wish you the best

Re: Night Shift

Hi @eth

It was ok 😊

I slept enough to function today, and I don't consider the time awake wasted.  Sometimes that's when I get my headspace to myself.

Playing with the Drawing Desk app is a creativity, even if it's not "real art".  While I have artistic ability there all the time - I can pick up a pencil or paint and produce something - I am not always in the frame of mind to engage with it.

i used to worry about that, that I wasn't practicing this gift enough, and maybe that was lack of appreciation for it. I changed my mind when I realised the first time I did an oil painting after a long absence from it that my ability is developing regardless of whether I am practicing it or not.  It was one of those eureka moments when I realised that the gift is in my mind, not may hands as such, and my mind is practicing that craft all the time.  It is turning over images, light effects, colours, shapes, forms, perspectives, etc without me even being conscious of it.

It's a special gift, but gifts are meant to be shared with others as much as they benefit you too.

Like tears tho, (conversation happening at the mo with @BlueBay over in her "having a bad morning" thread)  not everyone wants to share in it with you.  It's wise to respect that and step back from those who don't.

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Decadian How are you going today?  Often thinking of you lately.  My son would have been 20 this year and he was on my mind a lot with mother's day.

Re: Night Shift

Hi again @Former-Member

I hope you can get those wisdom teeth fixed asap - that would not be helping you in anyway

I guess you are in the public dental system - but it is still not right that you have to wait with such painful teeth - that would not help you at all

So yes - ring them every week - every day - asking if there has been a cancellation - be a squeaky wheel - be annoying - be someone they can treat and get out of their hair - and always be sickeningly polite so they feel for you

No one should have to wait with such bad teeth - they do not improve - they just make everything in your life worse

I will be waiting to here and still wishing you the best

Re: Night Shift

Peace, love and cookies also @eth

It's great to be mentioned - and we will not remember everyone - it's good that there are so many in this thread

I have only been here since Easter and I have not been everywhere in the site - but I really do feel very much at home here - a valued part of the family

Re: Night Shift

Thanks @Decadian -

I gave them a week to get back to me - I am calling again on Monday - the pain is intense again & all I can't tolerate the strong painkillers...

I hope the anniversary of your son's death is not too painful... Hugs...

Namaste,

A

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Shaz51 did you and your hubby get to see the doctor today?  Hoping it went well and that you now have a plan that will work and give you both some relief.

Re: Night Shift
