Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello @Oaktree  also known as Eeyore in our Writing letters group.

Here is a letter for you to find in your post box.

Dear Friend

I was thrilled to bits when I found your letter.

Lovely of you to respond to the talking over.

I know that you are a very considerate person.

I read that you had chicken and chips for dinner last night.

If you bought them, it is nice to have a night off from cooking.

We went out for dinner at one of our local pubs.

We had lambs fry, which is liver, bacon, gravy, mashed potato. There were not enough vegetables though.

Stay nice and warm. It is cold and wet here. My cat is curled up asleep.

Do you have any pets?

Hope to hear from my pen friend Eeyore as soon as she is able to write.

Sending you love from Tigger

Sophia 🎈

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear @Lilaca

Lovely to hear from you also Winnie the Pooh.

Your meal of potato curries sounds yummy also.

I wrote to Meggle and included our dinner in the letter.

We can write to each other and at the same time read other letters.

I am making a chicken chickpea curry tonight with whatever fresh vegetables that need using.

A hot warm honey drink sounds very inviting in this cold weather.

I shall write a letter to you also Winnie the Pooh

I am Tigger by the way.

Watch out for my letter 🎈

Dear Friend

It was so nice to receive a letter in reply from you so soon.

A lovely feeling going to the post box and finding two letters there.

One from you Winnie and one from Eeyore.

Tigger is very happy to have such good friends.

I wondered if you might find a cave for us to meet Winnie.

What do you think? We could have a picnic and bring warm food to share with warm drinks of honey.

thank you dear friend

I shall wait to hear from both you Winnie and also Tigger.

I wonder if we might meet some other friends along the way.

I have noticed @Emelia8 watching from behind a tree.

I am quite sure that when ready she will say hello and perhaps join us on one of our new outings yet to come.

@NatureLover popped by as well which was lovely to see.

Thank you for saying hello to Winnie the Pooh and friends.

Your good friend Tigger signing off for now.

I am so happy to have my new friends in my life tapping into my inner child. Very special.

Much love

Tigger

Sophia 💚

Dear Friend,

Thank you for recognising that I do not take over the conversation maliciously. It is anxiety related as you said. I am sorry being an interrupter is such a bad habit. I will try to be more considerate in the future.

Yes it was nice to buy dinner last night. It sounds like you also had a nice dinner. The weather was beautiful here the last two days but we are going back into another week of cold and wet weather.  Yesterday hubby and I went for a walk along an ocean path close to home and then we went for a little drive in the trees which was very pleasant.

I think all the fresh air wore us out as we both had a sleep in today.

How are you doing?

All my love,

Eeyore

Dear Friend,

I quite forgot to mention about my pet situation. Unfortunately my cat passed away in October last year and then my dog passed away a little after his ninth birthday in November. It was a rough 3 weeks. I would love more pets but due to my husband being currently unemployed we can't afford the vet bills so therefore pets are out of the question right now. My husband was made redundant due to covid and hasn't worked for an entire year. Looks like we may be retiring as his physical health is not great at the moment.

All my love,

Eeyore

Dear Friend,

I thought I saw someone watching me from behind a tree but then I thought it was just my paranoia. Please come and play with us.

All my love,

Eeyore

Dear @Emelia8

I am quite sure that most of us have loving memories of hide and seek. Peeking out from behind a tree when not yet found. at the same time wondering if I had been forgotten laugh.

Lovely photograph and so sensibly dressed for winter.

Enjoy your sanctuary and read along if you choose.

You are always welcome in whatever way you would like to be here.

love Sophia

My Dear friend, Eeyore,

I might have confused you and am very sorry for putting you through that.

When I first wrote a letter addressed to Dear Friend, it was purely for me to write about a situation in my real life, where when out with a group of friends, I often find my quiet, little voice talked over. This is not because I am shy. This is because my voice has a very soft tone and I have always been a strong listener, interested in hearing what others have to say.

The letter was not about you @Oaktree or @Lilaca or anyone else on the forums.

I was using the form of a letter to release my pent up feelings about real life experiences.

You have said nothing at all to offend me. Quite the opposite. Your letters and comments have been an absolute delight to receive and read.

Thank you and I have just noticed that your icon is now Eeyore. How very cute and clever.

Walking along ocean paths as long as rugged up appropriately is a lovely experience. Fresh air is tiring in a wonderful way.

I too slept in today as I had two days in a row, out in a town 30kms away.

I was going to go out again today but the wet and cold have convinced me to stay inside in the warm.

I am cooking a curry for dinner.

Look forward to your next letter when you have time of course dear Eeeyore

with love from your friend Tigger. (alias Sophia)
