Hi, just seeing in there's any other EAS sufferers out there? Excessive Acronym Syndrome is a disease where I feel the urge to turn phrases and descriptions into acronyms. I've been tested for ADHD, ADD, BPD, and whole range of other illnesses, but my PDoc says it's just EAS. I often write LOL or ROFL when texting, and enjoy the fun of creating acronyms with other EAS sufferers. Just looking for support and guidance as I feel my world is shrinking around me and I'm struggling to communicate with normal people in society. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello.
I find your ability to create acronyms is an excercise that would fascinate linguististics expert.
You have an unique of expressing yourself.
I cant see how this is a disorder.

Hi @Eden1919 , yes there are a number of posts on SANE by people who wish to cause harm by creating fake 'syndromes' using acronyms to try and confuse others. Even established ones don't make sense anymore. Is BPD Bi-Polar Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder? People who hide behind acronyms are usually trying to hide something and it's usually not good. It would be nice if SANE could police this behaviour better.
EDIT: I'm trying to call it out but not cause too much harm.
