Re: Functioning with ADHD

Do you need to go to emergency @creative_writer ? If you feel things are getting out of control, it's important to get help.

Re: Functioning with ADHD

Hey @creative_writer, sorry to hear that you are feeling this way! Recovery can be hard and it sounds like you are doing all the things but not seeing the change you would like. We all are on our own journey so what works for one person may not for another. Which make it challenging because it's hard to then know what to do.

I'm curious have you thought about either the Guided Recovery program or RecoveryClub and working with a Peer Support Worker? It can be really beneficial to have conversations with someone who gets it and might have been through something similar. You can also access the Mental Health Recovery Groups and hear from other participants about what they go through and how they cope with similar situations potentially.

I will pop the links here for you to take a look:

Let me know what you think or if you ahve already completed the programs!

Take care

Re: Functioning with ADHD

@tyme I’ll contact triage if the suicidal thoughts start progressing to a full fledged plan. I hate contacting triage (have had so many mixed experiences), but I’ll keep their number handy. I’ve got it saved on my phone.

Maybe will try to contact pdoc ASAP on Monday for an earlier appointment. I hate doing it, I feel so guilty. He probably has other patients to see. I don’t know if I am left with a choice, I am spiralling out of control.

@RiverSeal I’ve been RecoveryClub. I’m waiting for when I’ll become eligible for Guided Service again, I am aware you have to wait a year till you can start up again. I have looked at another service who also offered peer support worker sessions but I couldn’t do it due to my location. Might need to find other options, not sure if I’ll find any I’m eligible for
