Re: I can’t cope

Better?????

Re: I can’t cope

Family is very different to people outside. If it were people 'outside' I would encourage them to ask say "Have you told XYZ about how you feel?" when they are dumping it on you. @Captain24

But I don't know if you can do that.

Even when on holidays, can you have your own time and go out? When I was in Syd, I took Ruby and went out for a walk whenever I could so I wasn't 'caught' alone.

In time, hopefully you will develop the confidence to be assertive. As for your brother? Don't expect the worst so you won't be disappointed if things don't go too well... Rather, it's better to let him surprise you if he's kind lol. That's how I see it.

Re: I can’t cope

Can remove the post above yours @tyme I really don’t need it right now. I’m really not ok with it and it’s very triggering

Thanks for getting it. People just tell me what to do but in the situation it’s not the same. There is the reaction that follows.

I can go to the beach in the afternoon, sit in the separate living area and go to bed early.

They don’t see that there is anything that’s a worry, I’m just the child and follow my parents orders. When they argue it’s so normal that they don’t see a problem.
