Something’s not right

My life sucks

Re: Trying to cope

@AuntGlow keeping track of the amount I have as well as listing down the things I’ll have to pay along that specific period - those are the things I do when budgeting anyway

at the moment, it’s just relying on only the meals that my mum cooks for me and gives me with on a weekly basis & (when necessary) doing grocery shopping .. I haven’t done any grocery shopping this week yet so (but I still have enough food and stuff left in the home that I can eat instead if necessary). The only things I’ve bought so far for myself this week is just bubble tea 🤷‍♀️

Re: Trying to cope

@Blackcloud Honestly, it sounds like you are doing so well with the money you have!

You are allowed to feel frustrated about it not being enough though, it's not easy. 💛

Is there anything else you wanted to discuss or ask before I leave tonight?

Re: Trying to cope

@AuntGlow no I don’t think I’m doing well on it, not with the things I’ve spent within the past few months that lead to the decrease in my savings overtime……

I just wish it was easier for me, that way I wouldn’t need to deal with all of this bullshit 😒

Re: Trying to cope

@AuntGlow I’m guessing you already left. Ok, well I’ll talk to you tomorrow or whenever you’ll be on next

Re: Trying to cope

I am about to leave now, yes! But I will be back on Sunday, and I am looking forward to seeing how you are travelling then @Blackcloud. ☺️💛

Re: My life sucks

ello @Jynx how r u 2 day?

Re: My life sucks

Same @Blackcloud guess we're just a couple of FINE examples of human beings hehehe

What's happening for ya this weekend hun?

Re: My life sucks

@Jynx I had my 5th appointment for my acne extractions today.

Something that the skin therapist (the one that does the extractions for me) has brought up to me -  she asked me questions such as if I’m working or studying and if either of those have caused me stress & what time I go to sleep, what skincare products I’m using - it got me thinking well why is it that they (the staff at this clinic) are only focusing on the stress, sleep & skincare part even though they are the ‘primary’ causes of what causes breakouts (especially on the inside of your skin) but they never brought up anything about what foods and drinks you consume, what your lifestyle is ….

i saw that a few other customers that wrote reviews about this clinic mentioned about this too so it makes me question it… however, 97% of the clinic's reviews are 5 stars lmao

but yea anyways ummm and since my next extraction session will be my last session, I sure am nervous to know what she’s gonna say or suggest to me the next time I attend there one last time o.o and I damn hope they don’t bring up any suggestions regarding any certain medications such as accutane (I’m confident that they won’t anyway but you never know)

idk man, the fact that these skin specialists have never asked their clients about their lifestyle, their diets, etc. doesnt sit quite well with me cause I do know that these are also the factors that contribute to acne as well, yet I don’t fix em! ✌️😙

but I did notice that when I was going through that complete stress of when my mum wanted to introduce me to a guy last month, my acne did came back during that time onwards.

so the fact that my skin specialist only asked if I get stressed from studying? 🤨 Lmao… I said no of course and she was like “oh ok”

I’m not very comfortable telling her or the owner about my actual situation (or the fact that I get ‘stressed’ in general and that I have mental health issues) mainly because they’re Asian immigrants and I feel like if I do tell them that then it would be awkward…considering how mental health is seen in Asian countries.

EDIT: not to mention there's a few other things I've found quite off about the clinic in terms of the staffs knowledge on...things

Re: My life sucks

Definitely not medically trained @Blackcloud so take this with a grain of salt - but pretty sure since everyone is different, there probably isn't a 'single' cause for acne. I notice acne is wayyyy more related to my emotional state than to my diet or exercise, but that's just me. Maybe for you, diet IS a lot more of an influence. Maybe not!

Do you feel otherwise safe and cared for with this clinic? Or do you think you could find better?

Re: My life sucks

@Jynx oh i actually agree with you that acne has to do more with our emotional state since that's also what i think applies to me as well. you can see on my previous response that i mentioned that my acne came back when i was going through complete stress of when my mum was introducing me to a guy last month, hence the IVO application situation.

for your questions on the last part, hmm maybe, maybe not lol. all i can say is that getting extractions was definitely worth it in terms of it bettering your skin and reduce the amount of acne appearing though
