No wonder psychiatrists are now only available for telehealth appointments and so hard to see face to face.
They're earning between $700k - $900k working from home.

@Ed1975 yes, it’s a problem, among many health providers. I understand the convenience of Telehealth. My pdoc offers both, and I do in person and online with him.
It is dangerously self serving for the profession and great to minimise costs for their businesses.

It's crazy.
The annoying thing is that when the government offers subsidies like on the MH Plan they'll just increase their prices.

I had a psychiatrist for years.
Very hard communicating with him.
Never explained anything, didn't have an opinion about anything,
the letters he used to write when my condition got in the way and
I had to be taken by the police to hospital were very vague.
He didn't understand my condition for years, never gave me a strong solid
diagnosis. It was a waste of time.

Hey @Egonza ,
Do you have much support nowadays?
I'm sorry to hear how hard things have been for you.

Atm just the DSP.
Wouldn't mind some peer support.

That's what we are all here for - to provide peer support to one another @Egonza
Are you looking for peer support that is diagnosis specific? Or just general support? I can share different threads that may be of interest.
Some people just like to hang around and recieve support on a social level, while others prefer the deep and meaningful conversations.

If there's a peer support group I can join that would be great. Specifically on schizophrenia.
I perform so well and act so well and look after myself so well that no one can tell I suffer from this condition until the symptoms start to show.
I think I have been on the wrong medications for years.
I can't keep a job for long periods of times and sometimes even recognising that I need to change jobs due to stress I stay in the same job until I break down and everyone gets a shock.

There are a few options @Egonza .
This entire space (forums) is a peer-to-peer space. So when you connect with myself or anyone else, it is peer support.
SANE also have online recovery groups. You can register here: https://www.sane.org/recovery-club They are not schizophrenia-specific but they look at recovery.
I can tag you to @RiverSeal who'd probably love to share their experiences around schizophrenia.
Please know you are not alone.
Whilst we don't all have a diagnosis of schizophrenia, we all have lived experience of complex mental health.
