I'm sorry to hear how panicked you feel right now. Attending court can be overwhelming, and it's completely normal to feel nervous and anxious. Do you have some grounding tools to help you stay calm? Perhaps the 5-4-3-2-1 method?

Welcome to the forums and well done reaching out during such a stressful time. Im sure many here can relate to the anxiety that comes with navigating the legal system.
I hope your court appearance went as smoothly as possible and the outcome was what you hoped for. The legal process can be incredibly overwhelming and emotionally draining, even when your're fully prepared, not to mention costly.
I've been through the family court system several times myself. Even though the system was technically "on my side", it didn't make the experience any less frightening or stressful. It left a lasting impact.
I truly believe we need much more trauma-informed practise within the court and legal systems and I hope change is coming.
