Self-care Toolkit

Self-care Toolkit

Moderated

I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about Christmas and how families sometimes send care packages from home... but it got me thinking, I don't get care packages but I have my various survival kits, like for the dentist, the shopping centre...

This is what I have in one of mine

  • 150 piece jigsaw puzzle
  • mp3 player
  • Headphones
  • Notebook
  • Pen
  • Fidgets
  • Puzzle book
  • Essential oil roll on
  • Hot chocolate sachet
  • My BB8 keep cup
  • A few brain teasers
  • In a cute little kids backpack

So I was wondering with it coming upon Christmas, what does your self-care toolkit look like? What extra little things could you do or have on hand to help care for you during this potentially difficult period?

Oh I like this thread you created @avant-garde !! Thanks for the tag my friend! 🙏

I actually don’t have a self care kit/survival kit!! However, it has me thinking, I should most definitely create one I think! Thanks for the idea!

Fidget spinners are going in for sure lol, I do have some dimond art that I have not finished from months and months ago - I think I’ll include them 😊

headphones and music is a good one also and maybe my selenite hearts!

oh and Cadbury chocolate!
I’ll add one of indis balls to the box too! A reminder she’s around however she won’t let me forget that 😀🐶

I am going to keep thinking though! Thanks again for the tag it’s much appreciated 🙏, sorry my support button isn’t working but definitely support your post 💯

Re: Self-care Toolkit

Thanks for posting. Sorry. I didn't see the post until now! That's a great toolbox @avant-garde . I can't think of anything else to put in it. Oh yes, I would put my sudoku book in it, my headphones and my music.

I'm not neurodivergent but use a lot of the tools. I love a routine and predictability. and the time helps with that, so I'd take my phone. I'd take my laptop for connection and have a decaf coffee on standby! I'd would probably put my sunnies in also, in case it's too peoplely out there.

Well, there you go. I've got a toolbox on the ready! 💛

@heartathome

Phone charge cables are definitely a must, you don't want to run out of battery

Re: Self-care Toolkit

@avant-garde i love this, i don't have a self care tool kit as such at the ready but i really think i need to. So this is going to be my weekend plan. I'm going to buy a container and decorate it then put some things inside of it ☺️.

I put the picture in here so you wouldn't have to find one, I did see this coming so absolutely to both.

Re: Self-care Toolkit

Love this so much @avant-garde 😍

I think mine ought to have some paper or something to shred... when I'm in meltdown mode I can end up with very 'destructive' energy, trying to deal with the sense of frustration. So having something I can destroy without having to surf the tide of regret later would be very helpful!

Gonna have to put one together.... 😋
