Thanks @Shaz51 ❤️

Hello @Jynx thank you for the welcome. Ohhh I am partial to a good ADHD meme haha!

I look forward to hearing others experiences and am sure I will have questions in time.

Re: Wait what did I come into this thread for again? Oh yeah, ADHD!

Oh, how I can relate!

I always knew I had ADHD. My son was diagnosed and we are two peas from the same pod.  I never got formally diagnosed though until I was 42 ( I'm 48) at which point I started stimulants!   OH BOY!!! Wonder drug!   It wasn't intil I took that little pill that I realised just how much he ADHD  affected me!  Like, whoa, I went from 3.6km  to do a load of washjng, walking around  wondering what I was doing to collecting a load in a few minutes! Haha.  I  also am bipolar so I have a double whammy!

Thanks for providing a place to chat.

Howdy @Jane75 welcome!! To both the thread, and to the 'late diagnosis' club too! It's a wild ride haha. Thanks for joining and sharing with us! 😁

Re: Wait what did I come into this thread for again? Oh yeah, ADHD!

@Jane75 oh my goodness, I so relate to the time & effort it can take do a routine domestic task if you have undiagnosed ADHD!

And I was diagnosed at 56 (now 59), so I've done a lot of wandering around the house picking things up and putting them down somewhere else before managing to do the laundry, or get myself a meal, or get out the door to work...

I was usually efficient at work, because I had deadlines, wrote myself check-lists, and (if I was lucky) had the right amount of tasks and interaction with other people to keep me interested without being overwhelmed.

Re: Wait what did I come into this thread for again? Oh yeah, ADHD!

I can relate to that too.  Work has always been a whole different ball game with me too.   I think you are right in that it's a 'have' to so we bring our best game.   I'll still make silly mistakes though but get things done quicker at work.   Probably be ause I prefer work over domestic chores!!

Thanks gor yoyr input 🙂 😀
